Free Bike Loan Scheme Launched in Gloucestershire
Have you ever wanted to give cycling a go?
Well now you can try cycling for free for 8 weeks, thanks to a scheme launched by Gloucestershire Bike Project together with Thinktravel, the county’s sustainable travel initiative. The scheme has been running for over 18 months now and hundreds of people have borrowed a bike, many of whom have then gone on to buy a bike as they have discovered the joy of cycling.
We lend you a good quality hybrid, or town bike which we buy new. You can also borrow a helmet, lights and a lock. You can have free cycle confidence training if you would like to brush up your skills.
All we need is a refundable deposit and 2 forms of i.d. Then the bike is yours to use as much as you like. Take the kids (or grandkids) for a ride, ride to work, ride for fun, just ride.
Go on, give cycling a try, you just might fall in love with it.
